Storage for groups#

We recommend to manage storage for a group outside of the normal user space, using group folders. The reasons for this are:

  1. The storage is not counting into the quota of a single user.
  2. The storage is not bound to a user, so it’s not lost if the user leaves or deletes his account.

This group storage needs to be requested by the group via our helpdesk. If the information about group membership is not provided by a community Identity Provider, which is connected to B2ACCESS, the group management must be handled on B2ACCESS.
