B2INST publication workflow

Follow these guides to register an instrument and publish its record:

1. Create a new record, select a community, choose metadata only or upload supporting files, and enter the instrument metadata.
2. Set record and file visibility.
3. Save, preview, and publish. The selected community’s policy determines whether publication requires review.
4. For reviewed submissions, follow publication through review. Community reviewers can use the curator guide.

After publication, use Edit a published record’s metadata to amend metadata, or Record versioning when a new version is needed. These are separate workflows with different effects on identifiers.
