Service Description

Matrix is an open, decentralized communication protocol for secure, real-time messaging. It works much like email: users on different servers can communicate seamlessly, and no single company controls the network.

The reference homeserver software for the Matrix protocol is the open-source Synapse server.

The Synapse homeserver for the EUDAT is eudat.eu. You access it via the Element web app at https://matrix.eudat.eu or any other Matrix client.
